What kind of guy is Teedra Moses into?
Physically, I normally like very, very dark-skinned guys, but I’m not just relegated to that. I like guys that can teach me something, guys that are confident, because I think that spills over into the bedroom. I definitely like an aggressive guy in bed.

Since you’ve become a celebrity, have you had any male groupies?
My criteria for a man is really, really high, so I don’t date a lot. So, the guys that come try to attach themselves to me because of how I sing or the songs I sing, they never get close. I haven’t really experienced any male groupies. I don’t have security so guys can walk up to me after a show and I’ll be cordial, but they can tell by my attitude. They’ll be like, “I love the way you wind your body on stage and dance. Can we hookup?” I tell ‘em that I’m just focusing on my career right now.

What about your ex-boyfriends or guy friends, have they changed at all since your career has started to take off?
No, cause they know the real Teedra. I’ve always acted the same way. But, their homeboys are looking at the video like, “Damn, Teedra fine as hell,” and it kinda makes them feel weird.

How important is it to your career for you to put forth a sexy image?
The only reason it’s important is because I’m a very sexual person. I’m not trying to be something I’m not. Everything I write about, even if it’s a serious matter, comes across sensual. Being sexy is very important because I’m a woman, so why wouldn’t I be? It’s not that I want to sell it and make everything about sex, but it’s a part of every woman. It’s a part of everyone.

Being a woman in the industry, have you had any guys offer to help your career if you slept with them?
Oh, no. They know I’m a grown woman, not a little kid. That stuff doesn’t impress me, and I wouldn’t want to be stuck with them afterwards. No, I’ve never had that problem. It’s never been an issue with me. I’m a person that truly relies on my talent and my gift of gab. If I run across somebody that I actually am interested in, he might get it. But you’re not gonna get it just cause you can do something for my career. I can do that for myself.

What’s your status right now?
I had a really long relationship that lasted twelve years, and I haven’t had a boyfriend since. I’m not stressed to be in a relationship right now.

In a twelve-year relationship, was it hard to keep the sex interesting?
No, actually it was very interesting. It’s even better when you’re with somebody for a long time because you know more about them. Basically you’ve just gotta get into character. Some nights you wanna be sensual and make love, and some nights you wanna go hard. Some nights you just want it to be really quick so you can go to sleep (laughing). When you realize you’re being routine, you have to take it to a different level. No man or woman wants to do the same thing every time you have a sexual encounter. Sometimes I’m very submissive, sometimes I’m very controlling. Sometimes I want to be told what to do. Sex is never the same.
Do you recall saying anything embarrassing in bed, or having anything weird said to you?
Well, there was one dude. I don’t know what he was talking about, but he kept saying, “Ooh, your stomach, your stomach. Have you been working on your stomach?” It was like, shit, did I have a gut before? He just kept saying it, and he could barely even see my stomach. He was getting ready to orgasm and kept talking about my damn stomach. That was kinda weird.

Does size matter?
Size is very important. Everybody says it’s about the way you use it. No, it’s not. If it doesn’t make you feel like anything is even in there, what is there for you to use? Size is important to me. When you get on stage and perform, it’s orgasmic. I perform with a band, so there’s so many different energies up there on stage. If it was possible, I would love to just be grabbed off the stage at that moment and just taken, you know what I mean? That would be perfect. It’s not really possible, cause I might go to jail or something. But that would be great cause it’s two of the things I love so much. First I’d get off just by being on stage and then I’d have sex with a man. He’d have to be really aggressive, slam me against the wall, that type of thing. That’s how I am on stage, real aggressive.

Have you ever had sex in public?
I’ve done it in a grocery store before, late at night. My ex-boyfriend and I were in a 24-hour grocery store. It was about three in the morning. You know where the yogurt aisle is, kind of in the grocery section? By the little side wall, there’s normally a door or something. We kinda ducked off to the side right there.
