DJ PROFILE: DJ Q45
DJ Q45, otherwise known as "the ladies favorite DJ," has come up quickly in the entertainment business due to his outgoing, friendly personality as well as his DJ skills. Based in Jacksonville, he’s recently appeared on BET’s Rap City, 106th & Park, and Spring Bling.
Tell me about yourself?
If you were stranded on a desert island
with turntables, what essential records would you need to have with you?
"Planet Rock," "Peter Piper," "Clear" by Cybertron, and anything by Luke,
because his album covers have nice pictures of women. I’m stranded on an island,
so I might need those to entertain myself.
What are your future goals?
I want to be a Music Director or Program Director for a radio station. Honestly,
though, I want to meet and help as many people as possible. I want to start a
charity foundation for everyone who doesn’t have friends. Now that I’m a DJ,
everybody’s my friend. People I don’t even like are my friends now. Girls that
didn’t even speak to me give me H-E-A-D. Thanks, Mase (laughing). I’m
humble. But if you ever test me on two turntables and a mic, I’ll kill you. I
don’t care who you are; my wrath is deadly. I want to be a Heavy Hitter. Pro,
Enuff, holla at your boy. I’m trying. What do I have to do? For real, though,
their style is like mine. I don’t want to be a part of a DJ clique that has like
a hundred DJs. I just want to deal with people like me. Everybody seems cool at
Heavy Hitters. These are not fighting words, it’s all love. I just want to be a
Heavy Hitter, that’s all. I’m not worried about anything else. People will hate
me for saying this, but it’s just friendly beef.
