Comedian Lil Duval Goes to Jail For Christmas

Twitter’s favorite comedian and former OZONE contributor Lil Duval was forced to spend his Christmas holiday on lockdown, just a few days after his Grand Hustle pa’tna T.I. came “home” to an Atlanta halfway house. Duval released a string of twitpics while being arrested in Dekalb County (Atlanta, GA) on Christmas Eve (below), and his extensive list of followers were unsure if the comedian was really imprisoned or playing an elaborate prank.
According to the Dekalb County Sheriff’s website, it wasn’t a joke. Lil Duval (a.k.a. Roland Powell) was indeed arrested for failure to appear in court on a previous charge. A Grand Hustle employee tells us that the warrant stems from a minor traffic charge in Clay County in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL, just south of Duval County for which the comedian is named. True to form, he just had a sense of humor about the situation.
