Southern Ent Awards Highlight Pics

I’ll warn you, there aren’t many good photos. I kept looking at everyone thinking, “Who are you?” I’ve always loved the SEAs, but this year the names of performers, presenters, and award winners had me a little less than excited. Except of course for the Gucci Mane & Rasheeda appearances, I didn’t recognize hardly any of the artists. Where were the grinders & tastemakers? Where was Memphis? There were a lot of Nashville representers but I didn’t meet too many M-town folks. Gucci & Nicky Minaj definitely saved the day, for me anyway. In all fairness, the SEAs was the same weekend as SXSW in Texas, and the lone star state has always showed up in numbers at the SEAs, just not this year. Hopefully next year the economy and anticipation for the SEAs will have picked up. In the meantime, here’s what pics I did manage to catch.

Somebody str8 hatin. I agree you may never have heard of these artist but you need to get out or on the internet more. The guildlines for SEA qualifiers is easy, submit to a category and prove your worththrough hits and sales. Cant say most of the winners arent grinders. SEA’s started in Nashville so you will have some villians still representing strong. Everybody gone get they chance to shine. Hata
