O.G. What? Get the Fugg Outta Here

Opening the daily mail at OZONE is an adventure and 9 times out of 10 there will be something hilarious like this lurking amongst the hundreds of manila envelopes. And to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I hear laughter is the best medicine and if that’s true I’m gonna live to be 150 working in this crazy music biz. Actually, I’m laughing so hard right now I almost peed a little.

Now, let’s take a look at this CD cover and talk shit point out what’s wrong here…
#1. His name is O.G. Penguin. Since when is a penguin considered G? If you’re not with me on this, here’s an example, and another example, and yet another.

#2. If you’re a horror movie junkie like me then you’ll immediately recognize the bad parody of Stephen King’s movie IT. Look closely at O.G. Pelican’s hands…is that fucking ketchup?

#3. O.G. Parakeet even blatantly infringed on the copyrights of Stephen King’s movie by using the exact lettering from the movie cover. But I doubt this CD would ever soundscan enough units to alert King of the swagger jack, so whatever.

#4. Did I mention his name is O.G. Penguin?

I will commend O.G. Peacock for the professional packaging and barcode, but the music is definitely a reflection of this weird, distorted album insert.

Here’s some other retarded things that just arrived in the mail:

These guys sent us a WHOLE BOX of arts-n-crafts style CDs. Their mama probably got real pissed when they used all her computer paper and didn’t leave their little sister no printer ink or glue sticks.

We also receive CDs wrapped in notebook paper, brown paper bags, and anything else laying around the house. Along with:
- Naked pictures of chicks wanting to “model” for our magazine.
- Rapper’s entire supply of flyers/posters they got tired of passing out at the clubs
- Rapper’s entire life story written on a sheet of paper with the words “Press Kit” at the top
- One time some dudes literally sent us polaroid pictures with their blank CD and a post it note and wanted a review. How do you review a CD with no cover?

Unfortunately, some of these people are probably talented, but I don’t know whether they are trying to be musicians or comedians.
