They can’t be serious. Joe Francis (of those infamously irritating Girls Gone Wild infomercials) has teamed up with Hustler publisher Larry Flynt to request a $5 billion dollar bailout from the federal government.

And although I see Flynt’s point:
“People are too depressed to be sexually active. This is very unhealthy as a nation. Americans can do without cars and such but they cannot do without sex. With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind.”
He kinda lost me here:
“It’s time for congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America. The only way they can do this is by supporting the adult industry and doing it quickly.”
When did our sexual appetites become Congress’ responsibility? The government has fucked up the economy enough. Why would we want them meddling in our sex lives? Sex is one of the few recreational activities that doesn’t cost anything (unless you’re pathetic enough to have to pay for it). Do we really need “Hustler” and “Girls Gone Wild”? As a female I say NO emphatically, but our gentleman readers may feel differently. Anyway, I really hope this is a joke.
